Upcycling Workshop
Giving back is our business! We spent an afternoon working on an up-cycling project where we re-purposed unwanted clothes and turned them into drawstring bags. The bags were packed with stationery and hygiene items for children from under-served communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we collaborated with ‘HandsOn,’ an organization dedicated to community service. Together, we had a meaningful workshop aimed at helping grassroots families while promoting sustainability. We re-purposed old clothing to create new and colorful tote bags and packed them with essential anti-epidemic items inside. The idea was to utilize the resources available and reduce waste by transforming discarded garments into useful and visually appealing products.
In addition to the bags, the event also involved producing anti-epidemic items such as face masks, hand sanitizers, and hygiene kits. These essential items were assembled and packaged with utmost care and attention to detail.
The heartwarming initiative not only provided tangible assistance to grassroots families but also promoted environmental consciousness. It showcased the power of collaboration and the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and nonprofit organizations work together for the greater good.
